Bart has 20 years of service
On 1 October, our colleague Bart Teirlinck counted two full decades in service. To celebrate this, he was unexpectedly invited to swap his working clothes for the fluffy bathrobe of a wellness center.
What do you remember still from the autumn of 1995? On the front pages of the newspapers the (Belgian) Agusta scandal and the trial of the American football player and actor OJ Simpson filled the columns. Bart started a career as a logistician, and already on his first day he had to fight with a recalcitrant pallet truck.
Today, Bart divides his time between the repair workshop - what his eyes see, his hands can make -and the deliveries team. And the stadium of RSC Anderlecht - because he remains first off an ardent fan of the purple & white soccer team, sifting the newspapers every Monday for match reports and soccer comments.
To reward him for 20 years of loyal service, Bart and his wife were treated with a full day at a luxury spa. From the hands of manager Gerard van Os, they also received a voucher for a gastronomic weekend with the whole family.
