Small incident triggers conversation
A pile of catalogs, a somewhat clumsy gentleman and a sympathetic audience. These were the main ingredients for the Van Os-Sonnevelt Networking Comfort animation during the fifth edition of the Jump Forum.
Find something to bring people closer to each other in a sympathetic way. That was the rather short briefing given to Aksident, a company specialized in funny event animation acts, for a gig during the fifth edition of the Jump Forum, which took place in Brussels on Thursday, May 5. The Jump Forum focuses on the role of women in business and in society. During the coffee and lunch breaks, participants are supposed to get to know each other better.
In order to trigger conversations and exchange, Aksident actor Jan Hongenaert, aka John Meadows, cruised the venue with a wobbly stack of catalogues. Of course, this had to go wrong. Every so often, the entire pile fell to the ground. Immediately, participants jumped (ha!) to their feet to help poor John gather his catalogues. And in doing so, all these helping hands started talking with each other. Mission accomplished...
