Fourth CoP for UN Global Compact
Today, Van Os-Sonnevelt has submitted its fourth Communication on Progress to the Global Compact of the United Nations. Until December 15, 2015 the company has the Active status.
The Global Compact is a global platform for companies and organizations that have committed to implement systematically ten universally accepted principles of sustainability into their operations. The principles relate to human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. They were formalized in the 2007 Geneva Declaration.
Companies and organizations that endorse the Global Compact have an obligation to annually publish a Communication on Progress on how they are trying to implement the 10 Principles in their activities. Belgium has 70 participants in the Global Compact. Of these, 34 companies have the status Active Reporting.
